Wireless IP-Relay

What devices can I make a Wireless IP-Relay call on?
Currently Wireless IP-Relay is supported on the Danger® Hiptop and other branded versions of the Danger Hiptop. This includes the T-Mobile® Sidekick. Wireless IP-Relay is available on BlackBerryTM devices running Blackberry OS 4.0. Please see here for more information and download instructions.

How do I connect to IP-RELAY.com using my Sidekick?
You must download the IP-RELAY application from the "Download Fun" icon on your home screen. Select "Applications" and then select "IP-RELAY" and "purchase. There is currently no fee for downloading this application. Once you have installed the IP-RELAY application you will be able to place Wireless IP-Relay calls.

Can I connect through a "Terminal Client"?
You can download the Terminal Client application from your "Catalog" on the jump screen. Although there are no additional charges to place a call, you may have to pay for the Terminal Client application. Please consult your purchase screen or your wireless provider for more information on the cost. Once the Terminal Client is installed you will need to set your "Host settings" to the following:

Name: IP-RELAY.com
Host: wireless.ip-relay.com:2510
Protocol: RAW

Then select "Save" in the lower left hand corner of the screen.

Once you have saved your settings you may then select "IP-RELAY.com" from your Terminal menu to place a call.

If I am connected to an IP Relay Operator with my Sidekick, can the Operator dial into my Sidekick's voice mail to retrieve messages?
No, when the Relay Operator dials the Sidekick user's voice-mail, the IP-Relay session disconnects.

Why do I receive a message that says: "Connection Failed" when I try to connect to IP-RELAY Wireless?
Please check your "host settings" to make sure they are correct. As with websites, if the address is wrong it may not connect. The correct host settings are as follows:

Name: IP-RELAY.com
Host: wireless.ip-relay.com:2510
Protocol: RAW

Can a voice caller contact me on my pager or wireless handheld device?
If you have a wireless device that can receive email or AIM®, you can receive a voice call as a text message with My IP Relay Number. Visit the My IP Relay Number section for more details.

If you have a Sidekick with WIRELESS IP-RELAY.COM installed, you can call back immediately!!
